Our mission is simple: to make communication between educators and parents easier. That connection takes work every day that no one sees; our job is to carry most of it.

About

Less paperwork, more time for the children

We created alloparent for a simple reason. In childcare settings, the essentials about each child are still scattered: allergies, emergency contacts, authorized pickups, the agreement with the parents. You look for them in a binder, on loose sheets or in text messages. And while you're looking, you're not with the children.

So we built a platform designed in Québec for childcare settings: home daycares, daycare centers, private care and more. Each child's record is up to date and at hand, on your phone. And the day's log reaches parents by email.

Along the way, we chose to build alloparent with the people who work with children, rather than for them.

Families' information stays theirs: we host it only to run the platform, never for our own purposes.

Who's behind alloparent

A team that starts from the field

We start from real days in childcare. Educators say what matters; the code follows.

Samuel Anctil-Laroche

Founder and developer

A programmer-analyst, I build alloparent from what educational staff experience in the field. Every feature shipped answers a need we heard; what isn't ready yet is labeled as such. A question, an idea? Write to me.

Early childhood educator and field advisor

Audrey brings the reality of the field: what takes time, what's missing, what has to stay simple. Her perspective keeps alloparent built for days spent with children, not for an office.
